If you are not certain whether or not you will apply for financial aid, it is best to indicate that you will be applying for aid on your admission application.
The CSS Profile becomes available each year in early October. Our school code is 3899. The CSS Profile enables our office to calculate a family’s demonstrated level of need so that we can build a financial assistance award customized to you and your family.
Learn more about the new Expanded CSS Profile Fee Waivers available via the College Board.
Not eligible for a College Board waiver, but seeking support? Limited waivers are available through the College. Submit your request via http://connect.365dafa6.com/register/cssfeewaiver.
The fee waiver form will only be available to you once we have received your admissions application from Common App (typically, it takes one full business day for your application to arrive in our system).
Effective 11/26/24, Trinity College will require all students, first year and current/returning students, to submit the CSS Profile.
The FAFSA becomes available each year on October 1st. This year, however, it will not be released until January 1st, 2024. Our school code is 001414. Submitting the FAFSA enables us to evaluate your federal aid eligibility. This may include Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Federal Student Loans (both subsidized and/or unsubsidized) and more!
Whenever possible, we encourage you to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool when completing the FAFSA. This tool allows information to be electronically entered into the form from the IRS on your behalf. It also shortens the amount of time it will take to complete the application.
The FAFSA form is a required annual application for student aid recipients at Trinity.
In some instances, students are selected for verification. We utilize a third party company called Inceptia. Our partnership with Inceptia is beneficial to our students and families as the verification process can be completed fully online. Families selected for verification will be notified by our office and introduced to our partners at Inceptia for next steps.
The non-custodial parent is required to complete a Noncustodial Profile. This form must be completed after the CSS Profile has been started. Please use the students’ CSS ID number and password created during the submission of the CSS Profile in order to access and link the Noncustodial Profile with the student.
If you have extenuating circumstances that would make it challenging to collect financial data from your noncustodial parent, please complete the CSS Profile Waiver Request for the Noncustodial Parent Form available here.
If your family has unique, documentable circumstances that affect your ability to contribute toward your education expenses, you may request that our team reevaluates your eligibility for assistance based on those circumstances. Requests for reevaluation must be in writing and must include a detailed description of your family’s unique circumstances.
Reevaluation of your financial aid eligibility is subject to federal regulations and institutional policies.
Submit your letter of appeal to the Financial Aid Appeal Committee at [email protected]. If additional information or clarification is needed, the committee will contact you directly.
